Strengthening National Security

With extensive experience in cybersecurity and a comprehensive understanding of global geopolitics, I am prepared to address the multifaceted challenges of national security. Currently, Congress lacks members with this critical skillset essential for addressing 21st-century challenges. My experiences have given me insights into the motivations and strategies of key global adversaries, including China, Russia, and Iran. This expertise shapes my commitment to defending our nation’s interests both in cyberspace and on the world stage.

My understanding of cybersecurity extends beyond technical know-how; it includes the strategic foresight to anticipate and neutralize our adversaries’ moves in an increasingly interconnected world. This keen awareness is crucial as I advocate for a national security strategy that is not reactive but proactive and forward-thinking.

I am committed to strengthening our nation’s defenses against the diverse threats posed by these global actors. My approach is grounded in enhancing collaboration with allies, innovating in technology and defense, and leveraging diplomacy as a vital tool in maintaining international stability. It is essential that we fortify our alliances and rethink our strategies to ensure that the United States remains ahead in the complex geopolitical landscape of the 21st century.

  • Strengthen Global Alliances: Fortify alliances worldwide to counter physical and cyber threats. Work collaboratively with allies to share intelligence and resources, enhancing global defense against hostile actions, including those from major competitors like China.

  • Out-Innovate Competitors: Prioritize surpassing China in innovation through targeted research and development, creativity, and tech advancements. Cultivate an entrepreneurial spirit to bolster our economy and ensure our global competitiveness. Emphasize strengthening military defenses in the Indo-Pacific (INDOPACOM) region as a key aspect of our national security strategy.

  • Enhance Infrastructure Resilience: Strengthen critical infrastructure against sophisticated cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns orchestrated by nation-states and terrorist groups. Address threats aimed at dividing our nation and undermining stability, ensuring greater resilience in the face of evolving challenges.

  • Embrace Diplomacy and Collaboration: Utilize diplomacy as a primary tool to de-escalate global tensions and maintain international stability. Collaborate across parties to counter threats from nations like Russia, China, and Iran, and restructure critical supply chain with democratic nations and allies to reinforce U.S. interests through economic diplomacy (i.e., ally-shoring with Mexico and Taiwan).
